RFP: Programs to Enhance STEM/STEAM Education for Northeast Oklahoma City Priority Service Area

The STEM Education and Workforce Development Committee of the Oklahoma City Innovation District seeks proposals from (1) public education institutions or (2) individuals or entities providing services to or for the benefit of public education institutions and/or students of public education institutions for programs to enhance education and educational opportunities in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (“STEM”) as well as the arts (“STEAM”) with a focus on a targeted area of Northeast Oklahoma City.
Responses will be accepted beginning immediately after release of the RFP. Responders are encouraged to submit responses as soon as possible. OKCID/SEWD will accept responses on a rolling basis and select proposals until the 1st round of funding is exhausted with a priority on proposals submitted by July 31st. UAH announces search for a master developer to enhance college-town experience

The University of Alabama in Huntsville, part of The University of Alabama System, is embarking on an extensive real estate project on University Drive. The university is seeking a master developer to collaborate and transform the former Executive Plaza site. The master developer will restore the 58-acre property, creating a vibrant multi-use district and establishing a signature college-town experience to drive enhanced satisfaction, recruitment, and retention of students, faculty and staff. The planned mixed-use development may include student housing, a UAH-anchored research building, collaborative build-to-suit commercial office space, and retail/entertainment options. This project aims to deepen ties to the Huntsville community, bolster research standings and fortify UAH’s leading position as the premier higher education and academic research provider in Huntsville and the Southeast. The university is accepting requests for qualifications submissions from interested firms through mid-August and anticipates making a selection in late November 2024. Market Assessment and Workforce Development Plan RFP

This project will develop a workforce development strategy for the mining technologies industry in Rapid City, SD. The project is part of the Economic Development Administration’s Tech Hubs program, respondents to this RFP should be qualified and eligible to work on federally-funded projects. The strategy should help Rapid City and the Black Hills Region apply for and achieve designation status as an EDA Tech Hub. This plan should establish global and local market trends, workforce requirements and the industry jobs of the future, and strategies and recommendations to maintain and improve the region’s continued competitiveness in the industry. All submissions must be made via email to Garth Wadsworth by April 19th, 2024 to be eligible for consideration. Hillsborough County Seeks Master Developer for Land Surrounding MOSI

During the Nov. 1, 2023, Board of County Commissioners Regular Meeting, commissioners unanimously approved a request for proposal asking developers to submit their plans for the redevelopment of the 67-acre site surrounding the MOSI, located along E. Fowler Avenue south of the University of South Florida (USF). Hillsborough County is seeking creative and competitive proposals from experienced and qualified master developers with a track record of mixed urban projects. Advertising for the request for proposal (RFP) began Nov. 6, with submissions due in late February 2024.
