I2RP: Research Triangle Park

October 2 - 3, 2019
Research Triangle Park of North Carolina

RTP is being reimagined.

North Carolina’s 7,000-acre Research Triangle Park is undergoing a renaissance. Founded in 1959 at the center of three major research universities, RTP is now looking toward the next 60 years, launching a revitalization project that will prioritize the evolving needs of Triangle business community. This exciting project has brought public and private partners together with Park companies, who are investing a combined $1B in the heart of the Park for a new mixed-use district called Hub RTP.

Featuring 100 acres of indoor and outdoor environments, Hub RTP will encourage innovation and collaboration, energize visitors both professionally and personally, and help attract and retain talented workers to the Research Triangle region, a key priority for Park companies.

This 1.5 day workshop will dive in to the redevelopment of RTP, its role in the evolution of the local business environment, and the programming and relationships that have elevated the Park into a place of prominence among our university research park community. It will also showcase the amazing re-birth of downtown Durham. Formerly dependent on tobacco and related industries, Durham is now one of North Carolina's most diverse and dynamic entrepreneurial cities.

This I2RP is designed for those interested in the transformation of RTP from a classic research park into an innovation center - and the opportunities and challenges that brings. Gather with us at iconic Research Triangle Park at our exclusive learning environment and knowledge exchange. Plus, plan to stay an extra night to enjoy a poolside BBQ at the home of RTP President and CEO Scott Levitan, followed by a complimentary round of golf at the Washington Duke Golf Club.
