AURP Annual Awards - Call for Nominations
Nominations for the 2011 Awards of Excellence will be accepted through September 16, 2011, so please be sure to submit your application on or before that date. AURP members may submit any number of nominations for this award, so don't be shy! Please be aware that individuals and parks may be nominated for a maximum of TWO awards categories; however, a park or individual will only be awarded in ONE category. These awards bring valuable recognition to the recipients and to the industry as a whole. AURP invites you to declare and celebrate the very best in the profession by nominating exceptional parks, firms and individuals. Click on the links below to submit your nominations today: Outstanding Research/Science Park Achievement AwardThe Outstanding Research/Science Park Award recognizes the parks that excel in bringing technology from the laboratory to economically viable business activities, thus promoting the growth of businesses, jobs, and public revenue. These parks actively participate in the university and federal lab community, creating an important positive effect on research funding and on recruitment of superior students, faculty, and researchers. Emerging Research/Science Park AwardThe Emerging Research/Science Park Award is presented to an emerging park that has been in operation less than five (5) years. Applicants will have excelled in bringing technology from the laboratory to economically viable business activities, thus promoting the growth of businesses, jobs, and public revenue. These parks actively participate in the university and federal lab community, creating an important positive effect on research funding and on recruitment of superior students, faculty, and researchers.Innovation AwardThe Innovation Award recognizes a company within a university research park that has produced a substantial and meaningful innovation product or service. Research park companies worldwide are bringing new technologies and innovative ideas to market. AURP honors these achievements and recognizes the power of innovation.Career Achievement AwardThe Career Achievement Award recognizes individuals who have made research and science parks a central focus of their careers, have a minimum of 10 years in a senior research park role, have achieved success with one or more parks over a substantial period of time, and have received peer recognition for advancing the field of research/science parks.Leadership AwardThe Leadership Award recognizes a leader from a university, the business world, or government who has made an outstanding contribution to the success and total impact of a research/science park.Please email Vickie Palmer at VickiePalmer@AURP.net for more info. |
