University-affiliated research, science, and technology parks have become the fertile fields from which innovative ideas are born, tested, refined and translated into tangible progress - intellectual, economic and societal.
Across the globe the race is on. Scores of parks are in planning or under construction on every continent.
What are the critical factors in fostering the most productive culture of innovation? What creates the greatest likelihood of retaining, locally or regionally, the benefits of all phases of the innovation process? What infrastructure needs are emerging? What practices are being developed to maximize return our collective research investment?
Leaders from the Association of University Research Parks will offer an up-to-the-minute briefing on the progress being generated within research facilities that bring together the best minds from university, corporate, and governmental entities. From cross -pollination in the processes of basic research to incubators that increase the success ration of new businesses, these unique settings are becoming a keystone for building sustainable prosperity.
