Meeting Location

The 2008 BioParks Conference will be held at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies located at:

10010 North Torrey Pines Road, La Jolla, CA 92037

Shuttle service has been arranged between the conference hotel - Embassy Suites Hotel San Diego Bay - and the Salk Institute from 8:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.

For those BioParks Attendees staying at the Embassy Suites Hotel-San Diego Bay:

In order to make the check-in process for this event effective and efficient, please anticipate receiving an envelope from AURP as you check-in at the Embassy Suites Hotel- San Diego Bay.

This packet will include your BioParks 2008 name badge, which will grant you access to the bus from the hotel to the Salk Institute for Biological Studies and to the BioParks 2008 meeting.

As you enter the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, you will receive your registration packet. All conference materials will be will be posted on the website after the BioParks 2008 meeting.

For those BioParks Attendees NOT staying at the Embassy Suites Hotel:

For those attendees not registered at the Embassy Suites Hotel - San Diego Bay, please proceed with normal AURP check-in procedures at the BioParks 2008 Registration Desk at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies. This registration desk will be open from 8:30 am - 2:00 pm and is located on the lower level of the Salk Institute, where the conference will be held.

Guests will enter the Salk Institute for Biological Studies - South Wing. To view an interactive map for directions, please click here.

Parking: If you are planning to drive to the Salk Institute, parking will be available for BioParks 2008 registrants just west of the Institute on Torrey Pines Scenic Drive. Guests should follow the sidewalk and AURP signs through the campus to the South Wing, where registration packets and name badges will be distributed.

IMPORTANT: Please note that the U.S. Open Golf Tournament Final is to be held at Torrey Pines Golf Course on Sunday, June 15th. In the unlikely event of a tie, play may continue on Monday, June 16th, and YOU WILL BE UNABLE TO DRIVE TO AND PARK AT THE SALK INSTITUTE AND THE SURROUNDING AREA.

Should tournament play continue on Monday, June 16th, you will need to proceed with the group transportation from the Embassy Suites Hotel to the Salk Institute. Plan to park at the Embassy Suites Hotel - Valet Lot. When you board the AURP transportation (between 7:15 am - 7:45 am), the AURP staff will provide an Embassy Suites valet parking coupon, which will provide valet parking at the Embassy Suites Hotel for June 16th only for a $10 flat fee. This coupon must be turned in when you pick up are car at the conclusion of the day.
